Ok, so this is what my kitchen table looks like.
All the Christmas decor has been packed away and now I'm trying to figure out where and what will make it to a new show place in my home. It really doesn't take much money to revamp and freshen up the home. I think we all cling to items we love. I'm trying to be more in tune with my purchases for my home. First, because I have a very limited budget and second, I only want things that I truly love, or should I say, I have a hard time letting go of the things I truly love.
Here are a few peeks at where and what I'm using right now, but it could all change tomorrow!

This desk belonged to my mother. She found it at Sharps Auctions and after a few years she passed it down to me. It was pretty banged up, which I loved! So a sanded it down a bit, put a dark stain on it and distressed it a little more. Then added some mercury glass knobs from World Market. The bench is a project my sister and I worked on a couple years ago. Actually she did most of the work. It was a coffee table she found at a thrift store and she made it lovely again! And she made me sooooo very happy!!
The lamp is an old brass lamp from a thrift store with a couple coats of spray paint. The books belonged to my momma, as well as the old shoe mold. I remember them being used in her home when I was a child. I love having her things around me. It just brings me comfort. My mom and I had lots of fun going on treasure hunts for blue ball jars.
I'm extremely excited and motivated to share a little bit of my life, hopefully to inspire creativity, encourage and get to know many others at their Sweet Place....Home, wherever that may be.
